Why we chose refillable glass
The skincare industry has a packaging problem. Most products come in single-use plastic bottles that get used once and thrown away. Multiply that by billions of units per year and it adds up fast.
We decided early on that wasn't going to be us.
Why glass
Glass is genuinely better for your formula. It's non-porous, which means it doesn't interact with the ingredients inside. Plastic can leach chemicals into a product over time, especially with active ingredients. Glass doesn't.
It also looks better. We make no apologies for caring about that. If something is beautiful enough to live on your vanity permanently, you're more likely to use it every day. Consistency is everything in skincare.
Why refillable
A refillable system means you buy the bottle once. After that, you're just replenishing what's inside. Less waste, lower cost per use, and a bottle that gets more familiar and more yours over time.
The refill pouch uses significantly less material than a full bottle. It's the part of the system that does the environmental heavy lifting.
The honest tradeoff
Glass is heavier to ship, which has its own environmental footprint. We're not going to pretend the math is perfectly clean. But a bottle designed to last years versus one designed to be thrown away after six weeks is a meaningful difference over time.
Heirloom sustainability isn't a tagline. It's the actual goal.
